Just a few noted connections about life; heterotrophs versus autotrophs.

The first life forms on earth were not plants, but heterotrophs, and they used the abundant amino acids around them in the primordial sea for fuel and material, until they exhausted them (sound familiar?).

Then some noticed the abundant carbon dioxide floating all around them, and decided to use the carbon part, releasing the oxygen, which then changed the atmosphere (sound familiar?).

Photosynthesis allowed them abundant fuel, so they didn't need to waste energy on locomotion to hunt resources. They then evolved to symbiotic relationships for seed locomotion with the heterotrophs (plants are called autotrophs), and EVOLVED US to what we are today, and now, we evolve them in labs!)

But if grass could, it would take over the world, and in the end, we'll all be pushing up daisies after a long stressful and often times blissful life of pumping out carbon for them...
